Research And Development Scientist - CLOSED

Rodon Biologics is a biotech CRO/CDMO with 20 years of activity, located in the Lisbon region, Portugal. We support recombinant protein biopharmaceutical programs, from early-stage research (small-scale production) through cell line and process development, up to GMP manufacturing for clinical trials.

We are currently hiring for two full-time, on-site Scientist positions in Oeiras (Lisbon region):

• Upstream Scientist
• Downstream Scientist

Both roles focus on supporting high-quality recombinant protein production.

What you’ll do:

• Plan and optimize cell culture and fermentation processes (Upstream).
• Develop and optimize protein purification processes (Downstream)
• Perform protein characterization and bioassays using techniques like ELISA, SDS-PAGE, and flow cytometry.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration across projects.
• Maintain lab equipment, reagents, and quality standards.

What we’re looking for:

• Degree in Biochemical engineering or equivalent
• Experience in upstream (cell culture/fermentation) and/or downstream (purification/analysis) processes
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Team player with attention to detail and a results-driven mindset.
